Tibo says Bazzly went from $15k to $20k MRR in ten days

A three month waitlist cost him new signups and told him which customers would have broken the product.

Tibo says Bazzly, a Reddit posting product he runs with @FilipPanoski, went from $15k MRR ten days ago to $20,000 now. MRR is monthly recurring revenue. He says he is hearing almost every day over DM that Bazzly is the best Reddit platform by far, and that this might be another 100k product.

The more useful post is the one just before it. Tibo says he kept a waitlist running for three months, letting people in batch by batch, and reckons he missed out on $15,000 of new MRR doing it. What he got back was a map of who not to sell to.

What the waitlist actually found

Most projects do fine on shared warmed-up Reddit accounts, he says. Four niches never work, supplements, gambling, trading and NSFW, because those subreddits delete product recommendations on sight. That is not a conversion problem, it is a structural one. The customer in those categories gets zero results, churns, and their removed comments damage the shared account pool that every other customer is posting through.

So the cost of a bad signup is not one refund. It is degraded delivery for the people who were a good fit, paid for by the company that let the wrong customer in.

Tibo's fix, as of that post, is two-part. The waitlist is gone and anyone can sign up. Bad-fit niches get routed to dedicated accounts instead of the shared pool, warmed up for around ten days in their own subreddits. He also mentions an affiliate program at bazzly.ai/affiliate.

The business read

Founders tend to treat a waitlist as a marketing object, a scarcity signal, a number to post. Tibo used his as a filter, and the lesson he pulled out was about ordering. Letting people in by signup date is the default and it is the wrong rule when your product runs on shared infrastructure, because the queue tells you nothing about whether a customer will break it.

Worth being precise about certainty here. These are one founder's self-reported numbers, posted by the person who benefits from them, and $20,000 is a snapshot rather than an audited figure. What is harder to fake is the shape of the lesson, which only makes sense if you have actually run the thing and watched accounts get burned.
