Tibo says running 10 agents at once left him fried
The bottleneck moved from shipping speed to how much one person can hold in their head.
Tibo says he has never been this tired in his life, and he blames the agents.
In a post on X he describes most days as having up to 10 agents running at the same time. One fixing a bug, one writing pages, one refactoring something he had already forgotten he asked for, and three more he says he has no idea what they are doing. He jumps from conversation to conversation all day. Compared with five years ago, he estimates he context switches about 100 times more.
we got superpowers, and somehow the pressure only went up. if you can ship 10x more, you feel like you have to ship 10x more
by the end of the day my brain is fried. completely toasted. nothing left, not even for the people I love
He calls the result the fried brain effect. By the end of the day, he says, there is nothing left, not even for the people he loves.
Not just him
Tibo says he thought it was only him, then found that almost every founder he has talked to lately reports the same thing. That is one founder's read on his own conversations rather than a survey, so treat it as a signal and not a statistic. But it is the kind of signal that tends to show up in a lot of inboxes at once.
The mechanism he names is the interesting part. The capability went up and the expectation went up with it, immediately, every day. More output capacity did not convert into slack, it converted into a higher baseline.
Tibo also points the finger at himself. He says he contributes to the problem with his own platform, which he describes as amazing and which he loves watching work for him. His AI teammates there are, in his words, independent and capable. That is exactly the trouble. He says the volume has gone up by a factor of ten compared with last year, which creates a huge mental load because it is so hard to follow everything that is happening.
No answer in the thread
What is notable is the ending. Tibo does not offer a system, a tool, a morning routine or a prompt that fixes it. He says plainly that he has no solution and no idea where this goes from here, then asks whether anyone else is feeling it.
The business read is that for a solo founder or a small team, throughput was never really the binding constraint once agents arrived. Attention was. You can parallelise the writing and the refactoring, but review, judgment and context still run on one brain at a time, and that brain does not scale with your subscription tier. Nobody in the thread has a fix for that yet.
