Opus 5.5 ported HAProxy to Rust in 9.5 hours for 51% less
Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5.5, saying it performs at Claude Fable 5.1's level on most tasks and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5. Boris Cherny says both models were given HAProxy to port from C to Rust, both passed nearly all of HAProxy's tests, and Opus 5.5 finished in 9.5 hours against Fable 5.1's 12, for 51% less cost.
