Pigford says his SEO service hit nearly $400K ARR in 10 days
One offer post, open DMs, and a price that has moved twice before the landing page exists.
Josh Pigford says the done-for-you SEO service he offered on Twitter is at nearly $400,000 ARR ten days in. He is running a last round of early access at $1,500 a month, and says that once he fully launches later this week the price goes to $2,000 a month.
The starting point was a lot cheaper. The original post asked for five software companies to run SEO for one-on-one, at $1,000 a month with a full refund if you were not happy after the first month. He framed it as an experiment with an AI SEO system he already runs daily on his own products, and he was open about which way the risk ran.
The economics of this are incredible for you but my test here is to figure out if they're terrible for me.
What the $1,000 offer actually included
The list was long. A keyword map of your market with every page matched to the searches it should win. Up to 12 in-depth articles a month. Alternatives and versus pages aimed at buyers comparing you to competitors. Free tools like calculators and generators. More than 50 fixes to existing pages covering titles, internal links, speed and broken redirects. Pages stuck on page two of Google pushed onto page one. Tracking and fixes for what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers say about you. Directory submissions, up to five outreach pitches a month, social posts for every article, a weekly report and a monthly call.
The one requirement was that your marketing site lives in a GitHub repo. Communication happens in Slack. Pigford wrote that he wanted customers feeling like they were getting five to ten times as much value as they were paying, and that his test was whether the economics were terrible for him.
They appear not to have been. The price has now moved twice, from $1,000 to $1,500 to a planned $2,000, and all of it has happened through DMs. Twenty four hours after the first post, Pigford noted there was still no website.
The business read
This is one founder's own ARR number, reported by him, not audited by anyone. But the shape of it is the part worth paying attention to. Pigford said earlier that every sale was coming through Twitter DMs, and ten days later there is still no landing page and the price has gone up twice. The offer, the audience and an open inbox did the work that a funnel usually gets credit for. The productised service wrapped around an AI system he was already running for himself is the cheap part. Distribution was the thing he already had.
24 hours later. still no website. i should probably work on that.
