levelsio says he passed $10M this year at 94.5% profit
Business revenue is flat at $200K to $250K a month. The margin and the portfolio did the rest.
levelsio says he has passed $10M a year in revenue plus investment gains this year, at what he calculates as roughly 94.5% profit. The margin, he says, comes from years of pushing costs down, and this year especially from cutting his SaaS dependencies to a handful of companies by vibecoding his own replacements.
The revenue line itself has not moved much. He puts his business at about $200K to $250K a month and calls it very stable. What changed is the other side of the ledger. Investment returns have now surpassed that business revenue, he says, and have done for about a year.
Where the gains came from
Most of it is boring, by his own account, mainly ETFs like Vanguard S&P 500. The rest is a run of bets that came out of his own workflow. In 2022 he could not get GPUs, figured a shortage that bad might be worth buying into, and bought Nvidia. In 2023 @dannypostma suggested he invest in the inference companies behind their photo AI apps, so he put money into Replicate and then FAL. After that he says he simply asked every app or service he used whether he could invest, including Cursor in 2025, which he notes was recently acquired by SpaceX.
He attaches his own warning label. Investments fluctuate, he expects a crash at some point, and most of the gains are unrealized because he says he never sells. Take the number with a big grain of salt is close to his exact phrasing.
The business read
The interesting part for anyone running a small software business is not the portfolio, it is the loop he describes. Spend less, lower costs, more profit, more money saved, more to invest, more returns. Every SaaS subscription he replaced with code he wrote is a cost removed permanently rather than trimmed once, and at a flat revenue line that is the only lever that moves the margin.
He also says plenty of people spent the last decade telling him to spend the money, personally or on growing the business, and that he does not know how that would have gone. He tracks revenue, gains, profit margin and his sleep score on the same dashboard, which tells you roughly how he thinks about all of it.
One founder, self-reported figures, one screenshot of a personal dashboard. Nobody outside his accounts has seen the books.
My business revenue has remained very stable at about $200K-$250K/mo, but even with that investment returns have now surpassed that
