Jev hit 13% of teams on Vercel's gateway in a day

Vercel says Jev reached about 13% of teams in its first day on AI Gateway, twice the GPT-5.6 family. Guillermo Rauch thinks the pull is less about the model and more about everyone hunting cheaper, faster inference.

Vercel says Jev hit 13% of teams on day one, 2x GPT-5.6

Vercel reports that Jev was adopted faster than any model in AI Gateway history, reaching roughly 13% of teams in its first day. That is 2x the GPT-5.6 family and 6x Fable 5.1, by Vercel's own numbers. Guillermo Rauch called the data shocking but credited the "AI is too expensive/slow" mood as much as the product.
