Marc Lou says TrustMRR hit 230K monthly visitors
Half of the humans come back, and he says bots outnumber them three to one.
Marc Lou says TrustMRR is at 230K monthly unique visitors, up 30% versus last month. The number he put next to it matters more. 51% of visitors return, and they average 4.6 pages per session.
Bot traffic is ~3x more than human traffic
51% of visitors return, and they visit an average of 4.6 pages per session.
In the same post he adds the caveat most traffic screenshots leave out. Bot traffic, he says, is roughly 3x human traffic.
The number worth copying
A 30% jump in monthly visitors is the kind of figure that gets screenshotted and means very little on its own, especially once you accept that three quarters of the requests are not people. The half that come back are the asset. A directory with a 51% return rate and nearly five pages per session is not a one and done search landing, it is something people open again, which is what makes sponsor inventory and deal flow worth anything.
These are his own analytics, not audited numbers, and he credits a third party tool for the data in the post.
He also shipped a buyer pipeline
Alongside the traffic post, Lou added an acquisition pipeline for buyers on TrustMRR. Users can save startups, group them into folders, and see ongoing deals. He asked existing users what is missing.
That is a straight line from the traffic story. If half your visitors return several times a session, the obvious move is to give them something to come back for that is more than a list, and a saved shortlist of acquisition targets is about as sticky as it gets for the buyer side of a marketplace.
TrustMRR is the same product where Lou said one sponsor deal took it to $26,031 MRR and where he built revenue-gated founder chats that open up as users earn more. The pattern is consistent. Build the audience, then keep adding reasons for the same people to come back, and sell against the attention rather than against raw pageviews.
